Woman gives birth to four-legged baby A Syrian woman gave birth to a baby with four legs in Aleppo on October 19, the Syrian Arabic-language daily newspaper Baladna reported. The baby is reported to be in good health. The defect was caused by the incomplete twinning of the embryo. ‘They were one-egged twins but they stopped developing at the early stages due to a pelvic genetic defect,” Director of the Children’s Hospital in Aleppo Ahmed Sheikh said. “Therefore, only growth in the lower parts of the body continued.” Sheikh said separation surgery would be performed. |
